San Antonio, TX to Galveston, TX

Woke up in the beautiful town of San Antonio and did some tourist things today before hitting the road. We traveled on the trolly, of course going in the opposite loop then what we wanted, but got to see more of the city this way :) Unexpectedly got off of a stop or two early because we drove by the Alamo. It was great to walk around this historic monument, learn about it's history, and appreciate why it is part of history. Even saw a real riffle and vest that was owned by Dave Crockett.

Then we continued onto our real destination the San Antonio River Walk. It is a wonderful walk around the town. You feel like you are walking around Parisian river filled with trees, beautiful architecture, winding staircases, and little restaurants. Pictures to follow on another post.

Finally mid afternoon we hit the road again, got stuck in a bit of Houston traffic before getting into Galveston Island which we explored a bit tonight and will explore more in detail tomorrow. Having lots of fun, minus a client crisis this evening, otherwise the trip is going well. Enjoy the picts.

Just can't stop taking pictures of nature for my nature series - Nature's Persona. Love the line quality of plant leaves and their shapes.

Other's reflections.

How many trucks can you see in this composition?

Still can not get enough of these windmills everywhere.

Another reflection

Hopefully will be seeing more birds tomorrow on Galveston Island.

There are so many pelicans here. Makes me think of my 2nd grade teacher who's favorite bird was the pelican.
