Barstow, CA to Grand Canyon, AZ

Traveled from the unique town of Barstow to HWY 40! Lots of flat lands as we entered the desert and Arizona. Took an unexpected side trip to Lake Havasu and then returned to 40 till we connected to 64 towards the Grand Canyon. Got a great spot at the Red Feather Lodge and had dinner at the Canyon Star Restaurant where we had live banjo music played. All in all a nice day but lot of miles in a car. Looking forward to entering the Grand Canyon tomorrow. Below are highlights of pictures from today.

Welcome to Arizona!
Love the line quality of this cactus.
Logo on a truck that just made me smile.
Saw a couple of helicopters fly today. Amazed to see the dust that comes up when they land.
I am really enjoying taking photos when the sun is setting and playing with the reflections in the window capturing both inside and outside of the car. No Photoshoping on these.

Another reflection of the day. What can you see?
For fun we keep on pointing out the many trains we see along the way.
