Destin, FL to St. Petersburg, FL

Today was a long car drive. Over 500 miles traveled. What a day. Started off in the cute town of Destin with breakfast at the Waffle House - which we have been seeing signs for this place since Texas so we decided to give them a try. Good chocolate chip waffles! Well with a full breakfast we were off for the scenic highway drive and got greeted finally by the first rain drops on this trip in down pours highlighted by lightning and thunder. (I know everyone in California has been experiencing this while we have been gone but it finally caught up to us today) Though wet we enjoyed the road and of course I took photos of the drops on the windshield to pass the time.
